PRobably one of my most revealing interviews I’ve ever had– I talk about The God Machine, dealing with depression, psychology, the comics industry, sexism, and much more.

Big thanks to Dorian Dawes for interviewing me for The Catalyst Magazine, and the Catalyst for having me be a part of their publication.

My interview starts on page 69–

Hey everybody!

It’s that time again, San Diego Comic Con time!

All times are subject to change and possible extra time at the booth as well– sorry it’s not an exact science yet, but Archaia is going to have 70 creators/artists at their booth this year. INSANE!

So what’s happening with me at the Archaia booth? Glad you asked! ;D

–this will be the first time the God Machine hardcover will be at San Diego!  YAY!  So those of you who have been waiting for it (and a signature from me) will get their chance! Be sure to get there ASAP if you’ve been waiting for the LEATHER BOUND EDITION of The God Machine. Archaia only brings limited quanities– so be aware, they GO FAST!

Also I will be signing for Fraggle Rock, and the PREMIERING prose novel I contributed 2 illustrations for- Conspiracy of the Planet of the Apes! Written by my partner in crime, Andrew E.C. Gaska! –Lots of awesome news for that! At Archaia’s booth there will be exclusive collectible Apes trading cards, a walk around Zira (from the original Apes movies), and special signings with artists from the book – Jim Steranko! Dave Dorman! and Dan Dussault!

More exciting BLAM! Ventures news is that Critical Millennium issue #4 should  be out for this convention!

In addition- I will have a limited amount of prints on me, but that’s about it for this con. No commissions this time around. But if you want one when I get back from the con please check out my commission rules/rates!

I think that’s it for now. See all of you soon!

Reposting my good buddy Nick Tapalansky’s [of the super sexy comic, Awakening]  latest blog, an Open Letter to Comic Retailers!:
Awakening Graphic Novel

Awakening Graphic Novel

OUR TOP STORY…

So, the book is out – now what? Now, oh loyal readers, we need to keep the momentum going. Reviews and interviews are abound but now we need to show comic shops that there’s good reason for them to carry the book in their stores! Below is an open letter to comic retailers which I emailed out to all the shop contacts I could gather online. What we need YOU to do is repost this on blogs and message boards, Twitter a link, send up a smoke signal – get this info to your local shop to help them sell the book. That doesn’t mean you should go in and ask for ten copies of the book to be ordered, that’s not what this is about. This is about spreading the word about the book and giving retailers the ammunition they need to confidently recommend and sell the book to their customers.

Let’s do this thing! Zombie Noir for everybody! Tweet and repost pleeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaase!
