But first- hi guys! I’ve been recovering from the madness that was SDCC! Thanks to all who came out and said hello, and for all of you who got a chance to get the new posters Archaia printed and a copy of The God Machine issue 1.

This is the time to act! Go to you comic shop, ask them to order you THE GOD MACHINE HC [Previews page 225] The more orders, the better! It let’s Diamond [distributor] know there’s a need for the book, so they’ll let it come back for a 2nd GN! It also let’s Archaia know there’s a demand! This is important! It shows that there’s a want for THE GOD MACHINE volumes in the future!

The specs:
*All of the online places have the specs on my book wrong. But trust me when I say, I know it’s 160 pages. I made it that way. (It’s like telling a mother who just gave birth that she didn’t have a baby.) Because it was advertised as 144 pages, that’s what made the price lower originally. On the behalf of others, I’m sorry for any confusion.
So now we’ve got business out of the way, how bout was under that sexy hard cover?
A foreword by Doc Hammer (co-creator of The Venture Brothers), a new colored prologue that was only available as a limited run b&w ash-can, the lush beginning of The God Machine saga, Character bios, 13 pin-ups by fellow Archaia artists and other uberly talented artists!
What’s it about?
“Things have become monotonous. Change will come and wash it all away…”
“Stricken with grief from the death of his girlfriend, Sith, Guy Salvatore struggles to make sense of his world. He’s plagued with hallucinations of monsters that torment him with outrageous requests. He’s unsure if these manifestations are real or are being invented by his own sickened mind.
Enter Satan: a strange old man who shares with Guy a story of two Gods who govern all of existence. According to Satan, the Gods allowed Sith to be removed from her world. Now she is floating aimlessly in and out of dimensional planes known as the “Dream Worlds.” Satan implores Guy to take action and call upon his latent power to break through his world’s plane, search out Sith, and take vengeance upon the vile Gods who caused this atrocity.

So this is a little delayed due to trying to get settled back in, and other not so fun things!
But thanks to all who came out and said “hi” at Wondercon! It was a wonderful experience, and i hope to return in the future. Also thanks to all my Archaia friends; creators, the big guys, and our lovable interns! You guys made it totally amazing! <3
The Archaia panel went rather well, lots of cool Archaia news took place, and I got to talk about the God Machine, and take some questions! I have no video of the event, but a little write up over at CBR exists! Certainly check that out for some great news on upcoming Archaia titles! Lots to look for in 2010!

Hopefully those of you who had ordered “The God Machine Preview Book” at a local store or where ever that said that they couldn’t get it- “should” possibly be able to get it now. Another shipment should be on it’s way to stores! So go pester your local comic store to make sure they either reorder, or check your status!
Another thing, our friends over at Heavy Ink have The God Machine back in stock! So those of you without a shop to go to, be sure to pick it up there!

Just added “Reader Reviews” in the Interviews and Reviews section of the site. It’s open to anybody who wants to submit a review about “The God Machine” through their blog. Best and fair ones will be picked. [Blogs like: LJ, WordPress, Blogspot, Myspace, etc.]
Tips: Make it at “least” 2 paragraphs if you can. Try to be professional and add links back to “spookychan.com/thegodmachine“. Talk about the art and the story. Scales 1-5, or 1-10 work nicely. No internet speak!!! [this should go without saying]

So i’ve been getting a few reports that some people’s comic stores are receiving THE GOD MACHINE next week on the original release day of the 28th. Other stores received the book on it’s early release on the 21st. I can’t figure out what’s up with that, but a little patience my friends in receiving it!
Speaking of which, I heard one report that DCBS.com sending out one person’s order of THE GOD MACHINE.
Also! tfaw.com SOLD OUT of The God Machine. Wooo! They’ll reorder the book but it will take about 2 weeks for them to get it back in. Luckily I found 2 other sites who are offering The God Machine as well.*
